Free App - Show and Review

STEP PUP

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous sharing this because it makes it real and people can tear it apart. But here it is - Step Pup. It's a virtual pet game meets step tracker. You have a dog that lives on your phone and the only way to keep it happy is to actually go outside and walk.

Your real steps from HealthKit feed directly into the game. The more you walk, the happier your dog gets. Skip a few days and your dog gets sad. It's simple motivation that actually works on me lol. Did I gain 7lbs spending months coding this instead of walking. Maybe. But now I can use it.

Breeds: Beagle, Husky, German Shepherd, French Bulldog, Shiba Inu, Corgi, or Great Dane. Each one has its own look and animations.

Features:

* No manual logging - pulls straight from health data

* Works with iPhone, Apple Watch, or even AirPods for step tracking

* Earn coins to unlock cosmetics - hats, collars, accessories

* Take care of your dog to keep him happy

* Throw a ball and play fetch

* Scene changes with real-world time of day (sunrise, day, sunset, starry night)

* Three Scenes - Park, Snow, and City

* Daily challenges and streak rewards

* Achievements to unlock

* Apple Watch companion app so you can track walks without your phone

* Friends system with leaderboards - add friends and compete on steps

Completely free. No ads, no subscriptions. Solo dev project that I've been grinding on for a while.

I'll be hones. I'm not the best at art so the visuals are a work in progress. Already working on overhauling the dog art to make everything look cleaner.

I really want this to grow an audience so if you check it out, reviews and feedback would be much appreciated. And if you have any tips or ideas for the game I'd love to hear them.

I feel like it's still lacking something but I can't put my finger on it. Hopefully you guys can help me figure that out.

[iOS][$49.99 → Free Lifetime] What2WatchAI - AI TV Show/Movie Discovery Platform

Hey everyone 👋

Like a lot of people, I got completely burned out from scrolling through Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and every other streaming app trying to decide what to watch. Half the time I’d spend more time browsing than actually watching something… so I decided to build a solution.

I just launched an iOS app called What2WatchAI 🎬

What2WatchAI helps you figure out what to watch without the endless scrolling. After signing up, you select all the streaming services you’re subscribed to, and the app shows you the top movies and TV shows you can watch right now across those platforms — all in one place.

Some of the main features:
• Choose your streaming services and see curated movies & TV shows available to you
• Discover trending and top-rated content without jumping between apps
• Home screen shows what’s currently in theaters and what movies are coming soon
• Tinder-style swipe feature to quickly like or skip movies and TV shows
• Built-in AI chatbot trained specifically for movie and TV recommendations, so you can ask things like “What’s a good thriller tonight?” or “What should I watch with friends?”

The goal is to make finding something to watch quick, simple, and actually fun.

I’m currently giving away free lifetime access to early users so I can gather feedback, fix bugs, and continue improving the app based on real usage. If you try it out, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think or what features you’d want added next.

To get a free lifetime code:
1️⃣ Upvote this (helps with visibility)
2️⃣ Send me a DM saying you want the code
3️⃣ Comment “I want this” or “I DM’d” so I make sure to reply

Thanks for checking it out, and happy watching 🍿

Question

I’m debating whether to move my app to a paid-only model with a short free trial (3 days), and I’d love to learn from others who’ve tried something similar.

For context: my app is a mental health / safe-space community where kindness and respectful interaction are central. We already have active moderation, but I’m exploring whether a paid model would naturally attract more intentional users and help keep the community healthier and tighter.

We currently have ~4,000 users on a total free model. I’m not trying to maximize revenue or build a big income stream here — the goal is sustainability and quality of engagement, not scale at all costs.

If you’ve experimented with:

  • paid-only apps with a free trial
  • switching from freemium → paid
  • prioritizing community quality over growth

I’d really appreciate hearing what worked, what didn’t, and any lessons learned.

Hey everyone,

I’m an indie iOS dev who built NightFast after talking to dozens of night shift workers who were struggling with the same thing: figuring out when to eat when your schedule is completely flipped.

The Problem

When you’re working nights, all the standard fasting advice falls apart. Should you fast during your “day” (which is actually night)? Should you eat breakfast at 8pm? The generic health apps just don’t get it.

What NightFast Does

∙	Schedule-aware fasting windows - Set your work schedule, and it automatically adjusts your fasting/eating windows to match YOUR circadian rhythm

∙	Shift-specific reminders - Get notifications that actually make sense for when you’re awake

∙	Health tracking - Monitor how different eating patterns affect your energy, sleep, and overall well-being

∙	Flexible fasting protocols - 16:8, 18:6, or custom windows that fit your rotation

Who It’s For

∙	Night shift nurses, doctors, EMTs

∙	Security guards and police officers

∙	Factory and warehouse workers

∙	Anyone working graveyard shifts regularly

The app respects that your body still runs on circadian rhythms even when your schedule doesn’t. Instead of fighting your biology, it helps you work with it.

Available on the App Store. Built it as a solo dev because this problem kept coming up in conversations with night workers, and nothing else addressed it properly.

Finished my first IOS this week and finally published it to the App Store. It’s a journaling app that lets you schedule messages for your self to receive weeks, months, or years in the future.

It’s 9$ a year

Okay so I have two main goals for Pact

First, present users with a habit tracker which doesn't enable them to lie to themselves by focusing on Streaks, etc. - but rather to give them an option to treat habits as 'non-binary' and track 'true progress' vs 'perceived progress'

The second (personal) goal is to retrieve the annual App Store fee ($100) for hosting iOS apps.

Just etched forward in both those areas :)

Prices for Pact Pro are slightly varying for each region, based on PPP, but sharing the USD baseline as per the requirements of this subreddit -

  1. Monthly Sub - $2.99

  2. Annual Sub (currently discounted) - $24.99

  3. Lifetime (one-time purchase) - $49.99

PS - yes, I'm aware that this RevenueCat notif is that of a trial, I'm hoping that this too converts successfully like the others

[iOS App] SuppSnitch – Scan supplements & decode ingredients (FREE SCAN CREDITS)

I’m an indie developer behind SuppSnitch – Supplement Scanner, an iOS app that helps you scan supplement labels and understand what’s actually inside them.

The idea for this app came from reading real reports of people having unexpected reactions to supplements they assumed were safe. For example, medical literature has documented cases where common supplement ingredients including certain vitamins, herbal extracts, and excipients that triggered skin reactions like rashes or hives in some users. In many of these cases, the issue wasn’t the main ingredient, but a filler dye, or compound buried in fine print that most people never notice.

Do you know that almost 1/3 of all herbal supplements are fake. they are just fake blend, they do more harm than good. There are reports that one of the most popular ashwagandha supplements are of very low quality or outright scams.

That lack of clarity is what bothered me. Most labels list dozens of ingredients, but very little context about what they do, how strong they are, or who might want to be cautious. so i decided to build an app for just that.

What SuppSnitch does:

  • 📸 Scan supplement labels with your camera
  • 🧠 Explain ingredients in plain English
  • 🚨 Flag common fillers, allergens, and unusually high dosages
  • 🔍 Call out proprietary blends and hard-to-interpret compounds
  • 📊 Help you decide what’s worth a closer look before taking it

The app has been live for a few months now, and I’m continuing to refine accuracy (just pushed an update today which improves the analysis) and UX based on real feedback. I’m offering FREE in-app scan credits to users who want to try the full experience and share honest thoughts.

App Store link: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6749311781

If you’re trying the app and would like some FREE in-app scan credits, feel free to comment and I’ll share a code.

If you check it out, I’d really appreciate feedback, especially around ingredient explanations, things that feel confusing, or features you’d like added.

[iOS][$49.99 → Free Lifetime] Tallzy - Smart Expense Splitting for Multi-Family Trips | Early Birds Get Lifetime Premium Free 🎉

Hey everyone,

I built Tallzy after too many awkward vacation conversations about how to split expenses.

The Problem

Traditional expense splitters treat everyone equally. When Family A has 2 adults + 2 kids and Family B has 2 adults + 1 kid, splitting everything 50/50 just isn't fair.

The Solution

Automatic weighted splitting:

  • Adults (12+): Full share (1.0)
  • Children (2-12): Half share (0.5)
  • Infants (0-2): Free (0.0)

Example: $10,000 trip expense

  • Family A (2 adults + 2 kids = 3.0 shares): $5,455
  • Family B (2 adults + 1 kid = 2.5 shares): $4,545

Fair. Transparent. Automatic.

Features

Smart Weighted Splitting - Fair automatic splits based on age groups
Custom Split Override - Manual splits for hotels, flights, or when families skip activities
Visual Dashboards - See total spend, balances, and breakdowns at a glance
Smart Settlement - Minimize transactions (settle 6 families in 3 payments, not 15)
Export Reports - PDF and Excel exports for your records
Group Chat - Coordinate without leaving the app
Offline-First - Track expenses anywhere, sync when connected
Receipt Attachments - Add photos to any expense
Multi-Event Support - Manage multiple trips simultaneously
Complete Privacy - No ads, no tracking, your data is yours

Perfect For

Multi-family vacations · Weekend getaways · Family reunions · Camping trips · Holiday celebrations · Destination weddings

Early Bird Offer

Download now. Get lifetime premium access. Free.

Once the paywall launches, early users keep all premium features forever. This is my thank you for helping shape the product.

Download

I'd love your feedback, feature requests, or bug reports!

If you love Tallzy, please leave a 5 star reviews - it helps other families discover the app.

You make memories while Tallzy does the maths.

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! 👋

As a designer, I’ve always been obsessed with collecting inspiring quotes—they’ve been my "mental fuel" during tough times. I wanted a way to see them beautifully every day, but I couldn't find an app that fit my aesthetic.

So, I decided to learn Swift and build it myself. After a year of polishing, I’m excited to share Quotz with you! It’s been a game-changer for my daily routine, and I hope it can do the same for you.

Why Quotz?

Curated Content: A vast library of deep, meaningful quotes (no cheesy filler).

Designer-Grade Widgets: Beautifully designed home screen widgets that make your phone look premium.

Personalization: Add your own favorite quotes and build your private "inspiration vault."

Clean Experience: Dark mode support, intuitive UI, and zero annoying ads.

Check it out on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6499068744 or search "Quotz" (Quote with a 'z').

I’d love to hear your feedback or see your reviews. As an indie dev, your support means the world to me! Thanks for checking it out. ❤️

Hey everyone,

I’ve always been someone who prefers owning my music but lately, it feels like every music app on the App Store is either a mess of ads, requires a monthly subscription just to use basic features, or just looks dated. I built OS-39 to change that. It’s a dedicated Digital Audio Player for offline MP3 files you want to listen to. The app uses iOS' native audio player, so it should support the standard and modern file types like MP3, FLAC, M4A, etc.

The vibe I went for:

  • Minimal & Clean: No clutter. Just your music and some really nice reactive visualizers.
  • Privacy First: It’s 100% offline. No data collection, no tracking. All data is also LOCAL, so nothing gets uploaded to some cloud.
  • Smart Discovery: I added an on-device "Recommendation Engine" that suggests "Forgotten Gems" from your own library based on the time of day or season. It’s all processed locally on your phone, AND I built a screen to let you see what the algorithm is learning so it's fully transparent.
  • Subscription-free: It's free to use for your ENTIRE library to import. But there's a one time IAP to unlock more advanced features like EQs, Visualizers, and themes -- mostly to help give something back for supporting the app. If you hate subs like me: it’s a one-time lifetime unlock. That’s it.

It’s still early days for the app -- I just launched it earlier this week and it's iOS 26 only as I ramp up testing and development, and I’m looking for some honest feedback from users!

If you want to check it out, here’s the link: https://apps.apple.com/app/os-39-offline-music-player/id6757801521

Would love to hear what you think or what features you’d like to see added next!

Hey everyone,

I’m a big fan of keeping things organized, but I always forget what I actually put into storage boxes or where I hid my hobby gear. I couldn't find an inventory app that didn't feel like a 2005 database or require a subscription, so I decided to build my own.

It’s called ArchiveShelf.

I kept it super simple:

  • Visual-first: Just snap a photo of the item and the box it’s in.
  • Searchable: Find exactly where you put that specific cable or kitchen gadget in seconds.
  • Clean UI: No clutter, no ads, and no "pro" features hidden behind a monthly fee.
  • Privacy: Everything stays on your device—no data collection or weird tracking.
  • No subscriptions! There's a one-time in-app purchase to help support the app, but after that, everything is yours forever.

If you’re moving or just trying to declutter, give it a shot. It's totally free to download and I'd love to hear what you think!

Offline on-device LLM chat app for iOS

I wanted to share an iOS app called Private Mind: Offline AI Chat that runs entirely on-device - no server calls, no accounts, no tracking.

The app focuses on local inference on iPhone using optimized models for mobile constraints. Once downloaded, it works fully offline (including airplane mode).

Runs offline after install

Privacy-first: no analytics, no data leaves the device

Simple chat-style UI for everyday use

Features that make sense for strictly local setups

Happy to answer technical questions.

Hey!

I kept downloading journaling apps, using them for a few days, then never opening them again. They all wanted me to write paragraphs and I just... didn't want to, or they'd overwhelm me with the number of features.

So I made Glimpse - you write a sentence or two about your day, tap a mood, and you're done. No essays, no guilt. And if you want to write more... you can!

Been working on it for a short while around my day job and just got it on the App Store. Free to use, with an optional premium upgrade ($1.99/month or $14.99/year) for mood insights, photos, and unlimited entries.

Would really appreciate honest feedback on the UX/UI. Rip it apart if needed.

Hey there,👋

*For the next 24 hours, Note Wiz AI is unlocking Lifetime access for $0.00 (normally $79.99). 🎉

Quick background: I graduated Industrial Engineering in 2018, and I’ve been building iOS apps seriously for the last 2 years. I’ve shipped 17 apps so far and they’ve reached ~300k downloads total.

For years I had a “dream notes app” idea… but I kept telling myself: “Chatbots are going to replace it anyway.”

When ChatGPT Projects came out, I thought this is it. But in practice, the experience still felt rough for how I actually take notes.

What I wanted (simple idea)

I want to:

* paste a note / text (or speak it / snap an image),

* instantly get already-prepared outputs based on its category.

Example: I paste my mobile app idea → I want a detailed breakdown: positioning, feature set, risks, pricing, MVP scope, etc.Not “chat until I get something usable”… but structured outputs that help me think clearly.

So… I built it.

What Note Wiz AI does

* Input: text, voice, or image

* Output: structured results using category-based prompts

* Customization: you can customize:

* categories

* prompts inside categories

* note UI/layout

AI options + privacy

You can choose from settings:

* Apple Intelligence (best if you care about privacy)

* Gemini (default on first launch, usually better results)

Even when using Gemini, it doesn’t store your notes — the app only sends what’s necessary to get a response and fetch it back. Apple Intelligence is naturally stronger on privacy, so it’s there for anyone who wants maximum privacy. (+ works offline)

If you want to try it

App Store link: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6757632086

🎁 How to Claim? (24 hours)

  1. Download and open the app.

  2. On the paywall screen, tap “Show More” at the bottom.

  3. Tap the Lifetime option – it will appear as $0.00 for the next 24 hours.

  4. Tap Continue and confirm. That’s it! 🎉

Small ask (it helps a lot 🙏)

If you claim it, please:

* ⬆️ Upvote this post and leave any comment

* ⭐ Leave a rating/review on the App Store — it seriously helps the app get discovered (any honest feedback would be perfect)

I was indecisive about Wiz being a bit childish mascot but that was fitting well to the idea I'd be happy to get any feedback about that :))

Thanks so much for the support 💙

AI Analysis:

🔥 Lifetime Free iOS App Deal (24 Hours Only) 🔥

I just came across a pretty interesting notes + AI productivity app that’s currently offering Lifetime access for $0.00 (normally $79.99). Thought it might be useful for anyone who takes a lot of notes, brainstorms ideas, or wants more structured thinking instead of endless chat prompts.

📱 App: Note Wiz AI – Smart Notes

This app lets you:

  • Paste text, speak, or scan an image
  • Instantly get structured outputs based on custom categories
  • Create your own prompts, categories, and note layouts
  • Use AI as a thinking system, not just a chatbot

Example use case:
Drop in a business or app idea → get breakdowns like features, risks, pricing, MVP scope, etc.

🔐 AI & Privacy Options

  • Apple Intelligence (more privacy-focused, works offline)
  • Gemini (default, often more detailed results)

Notes aren’t stored permanently—only what’s needed to generate responses is sent.

🎁 How to Claim the Lifetime Free Deal (iOS)

  1. Download and open the app
  2. On the paywall screen, tap “Show More”
  3. Select Lifetime → it should show $0.00
  4. Confirm and you’re done

⏳ This is only available for 24 hours.

⚠️ Disclaimer: I’m not affiliated with this app or the developer—just sharing a deal I found. Please check the app carefully and install/use it at your own risk.

Record, retrace and share your travel routes: Snicket app

Is everyone saving/sharing pins when going on vacation?

I just made an app that takes things a step further by focusing on the entire journey rather than just the pins. Like Strava but for traveling.

Curious to see what the market thinks about this approach…

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/route-mapping-snicket/id6755252675

Snicket is a route mapping app for traveling that records the paths you take in real time and lets you save, retrace, organize, and share them. Perfect for city breaks, long walks abroad, everyday exploring, or discovering new corners of your hometown.

RECORD YOUR JOURNEY WITH ONE TAP

Start walking and Snicket quietly captures your entire route — distance, duration, starting point, endpoint, and the exact roads you followed.

Your map becomes a memory you can return to anytime.

RETRACE ANY ROUTE RECORDED BY YOU OR SHARED BY SOMEONE ELSE

Want to relive a trip, revisit a favorite area, or lead someone along the same route?

Snicket guides you from start to finish, checking all the pins along the route.

MARK PLACES YOU WANT TO REMEMBER BY ADDING PINS ALONG THE WAY

Cafés you loved, hidden streets, viewpoints, landmarks or anything worth revisiting.

Your explorations become a personal travel map.

ORGANIZE YOUR PATHS INTO COLLECTIONS

“Paris Weekend,” “Japan 2025,” “Old Town Walks,” “Best Streets to Explore.”

Your travel history finally has structure.

SHARE YOUR ROUTES INSTANTLY

Send a simple link and your friends can import your route with all details intact — start/end points, distance, duration, pins, and complete map shape.

Or if you prefer the classic way, export your routes as GPX files, save them on your devices, or send them to friends and family.

PRIVACY FIRST

Your routes stay on your device unless you choose to share them.

No tracking. No accounts. No analytics.

Your travels belong to you.

START MAPPING YOUR NEXT JOURNEY

Snicket is built for people who love exploring.

Whether you’re discovering a new city or wandering your own streets with curiosity, Snicket keeps your routes alive.

CORE FEATURES

One-tap route mapping - Record every path you walk and turn it into a saved travel route.

Smart route creation - Add pins, notes, and details to build richer travel routes you can revisit.

Retrace any trip - Follow your own saved route with simple guidance and explore it again anytime.

Organize routes by city or trip - Group your travel routes into clean collections for easy access.

Share routes with full details - Friends can import your route with distance, duration, pins, and all mapping data.

Night mode functionality

Choose your unit of measure - Kilometers (Km) or Miles (Mi)

Made a card game that doesn't pull the usual mobile nonsense. Just hit open beta on iOS.

Quick rundown:

Tactical CCG where you build an 8-card deck and face off in 4-round matches. Each round, one player commits their card first (priority), and the other player sees what they played before responding. Priority alternates, so you're constantly switching between going in blind and reacting with full info.

Combat is simple: Attack = Power × (1 + Aether Spent). Higher attack wins the round and deals damage. You've got 12 Life and 12 Aether per match - burn through your Aether early and you're stuck with weak plays later.

Matches run 2-3 minutes.

What it's not:

  • No ads
  • No energy timers
  • No pay-to-win
  • No loot boxes for gameplay content

All 70+ characters are available the moment you finish the tutorial. Shop is strictly cosmetic - alternate card art, card backs, arenas. There's a player marketplace where you can trade cosmetics with other people.

What's there:

  • Ranked ladder with seasonal rewards
  • Bot matches for practice (works offline)
  • Friend battles
  • Battle pass (cosmetic rewards)
  • Lore system with character backstories if you're into worldbuilding

The setting is a fractured city called Elarion - six factions fighting for control after a supernatural cataclysm. Shadow assassins, industrial constructs, mutants, reality mages, manipulators, body-horror cultists. Dark fantasy, not grimdark - there's actual colour in the art.

This is beta, so I'm actively looking for feedback on balance, matchmaking, and anything that feels off.

Link here to allow access to the beta as some users were reporting reddits in app browser preventing it from being opened in test flight - https://testflight.apple.com/join/qkeHyFFT

I've also set up a Discord here to provide feedback or chat about the game: https://discord.gg/cuzRwZ6R

Hey everyone!

A quick update on Countdown – Event Timer — the iOS widget app(iPhone & iPad & Mac) many of you have been trying out and giving great feedback on. Thanks again for all the support! 🙏

👉 App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countdown-event-timer/id6757182749

Based on your feedback, the new version brings a host of exciting features: import birthdays from your contacts, iCloud sync across devices, family sharing support, quick swipe actions for events, and more!

The latest version has been submitted for review and is expected to go live within the next couple of days.

⏳ Why I Built This

I tried using alarms and calendar apps for years, but they always felt… mentally tiring.

Alarms are binary.
They’re either off, or suddenly demanding your attention.
You don’t see time passing — you just get interrupted. That creates stress, not clarity.

Calendars are date-centric.
They’re great for scheduling, but for long-term events, your brain has to keep doing the math:

>“How many days are left?”
“Is that soon or still far away?”

That small mental calculation doesn’t seem like much, but it adds up.

⏳Why countdowns feel easier on the brain

A Countdown flips the model.

Instead of asking your brain to remember or calculate, it simply shows you the answer.

  • You instantly know how far away something is
  • No mental math
  • No surprise interruptions
  • Just quiet, continuous awareness

It turns time from something abstract into something visible and calm.

That’s the feeling I wanted when I built this app —
less stress, fewer reminders, and a clearer sense of what actually matters.

>Alarms interrupt you. Calendars make you calculate.
Countdowns let your brain rest.

So I built Countdown – Event Timer with a few core principles in mind:

⏳What the app does

🔥 Unlimited Events
Create as many countdowns as you want — from big life milestones to little reminders.

🎨 Custom Tags & Icons
Select from 200+ emojis and tag your events (Birthday, Travel, Work, Holiday, etc.) to keep things organized.

⏱️ Precise Real-Time Countdown
See time down to years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds.

🔁 Smart Repeat Options
Set daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly repeating events (perfect for anniversaries & recurring reminders).

📆 Calendar Integration
Import events from your system calendar and export countdowns back — sync your life effortlessly.

📲 Widgets Everywhere
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets (multiple styles) let you track countdowns without opening the app.

🔔 Thoughtful Reminders
Remind yourself 1 day before, 1 week before, or when the event hits.

🔒 Privacy-First (Local Only)
All your events are stored locally on your device — no tracking, no accounts required.

📌 Countdown Perfect For

✔ Counting down to birthdays & anniversaries
✔ Tracking vacations & holidays
✔ Never missing deadlines again
✔ Fitness goals or study plans
✔ Travel departures & returns
✔ Big life events — weddings, graduation, exams… you name it 🚀

If you give it a try, I’d love to hear what features you think are missing or what you’d like improved! Feedback helps shape the next updates 😊

Cheers,
— a fellow countdown lover ⏱️

Convoxa: An AI Transcriber that works 100% on-device for total privacy

Hey everyone,

I’ve always been frustrated by how many AI tools require uploading sensitive data like meeting audio or personal notes to the cloud. I wanted a tool that felt local, fast, and didn't treat my data as training material. So, I built Convoxa.

It’s an iPhone app that handles transcription entirely on-device. For the "AI brain" (summaries and insights), I’ve included two modes to give you the best of both worlds:

  • On-Device Mode: Uses Apple’s foundation models. It’s 100% private and works without internet (Note: requires a device compatible with Apple Intelligence).
  • Cloud Mode: Powered by SOTA reasoning models for when you need heavy-duty analysis (Operates under Zero Data Retention).

Pricing & Privacy:

  • Zero Data Retention: We do not store your audio, transcripts, or summaries.
  • Free Tier: 1 hour of recording per month with all Pro features unlocked.
  • Pro Tier: 11.99/month or 119.99/year for unlimited use.

The app is currently available for Pre-order (launching soon!): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/convoxa-ai-meeting-minutes/id6755150446

I built a minimal iOS app that keeps the moments you care about always visible (TheWait)

Hey r/iosapps

I’m an indie iOS dev and wanted to share a small app I just shipped called TheWait.

The idea came from that important moments (trips, weddings, exams, birthdays) get buried in calendars and reminder lists — even though emotionally, they’re the thing you’re waiting for. So instead of another “countdown list”, I built something much more focused.

What TheWait does

  • You create moments (trip, wedding, due date, deadline, etc.)
  • One moment can be pinned as your “hero”
  • That moment stays visually present via Home Screen widgets
  • No clutter, no noise — just the wait that actually matters

Core features

  • Clean, postcard-style countdown cards
  • Pinned hero moment
  • Small + Medium widgets (this is really the core of the app)
  • Simple create/edit flow (title, date, theme, icon)
  • Optional notifications (7 / 3 / 1 day & day-of)
  • Optional location per event, with an estimated weather preview for that place and date (useful especially for trips or outdoor events)

This isn’t meant to be a productivity app. It’s more of an emotional utility — something calm, visual, and intentional that lives on your Home Screen.

I focused heavily on visual polish, typography, subtle animations and making widgets feel “Apple-grade”

I’d genuinely love feedback from other iOS devs:
Does the concept make sense?
Are the screenshots communicating the idea clearly?
Anything you’d simplify, remove, or rethink?

App Store link: https://apps.apple.com/fi/app/thewait/id6757280643

There’s a Pro subscription starting €2.99/mo, but free users can try the core experience properly before hitting limits.

Happy to answer any technical questions too (SwiftUI, SwiftData, widgets, StoreKit 2, WeatherKit).

Thanks for reading

Hey everyone — I finally launched my iOS app Widgo.

It’s not trying to beat giants like Widgetsmith or Widgy. I genuinely just wanted a minimalist clock + date widget that looks clean and lets you personalize the part that matters most: your own photos (from your gallery, or images you’ve saved from the internet).

What it does

Minimal clock + date widgets

Customize format, text color, and photo

Works in small / medium / large widget sizes

Pricing / IAP

You can create 1 widget for free to try how it works

There’s an optional $9.99 USD lifetime (one-time) IAP that unlocks 10 widget slots (so you can set up multiple variations: different photos, colors, formats, etc.)

I know “widgets” is a super competitive space, so I’m going in with realistic expectations — but I’d love honest feedback from people who actually care about customization.

If you try it: what would make a minimalist clock widget feel perfect to you (without turning into a huge complicated app)?

Hey everyone! This is a little passion project I made for a business game I always wished existed.

It's called Ramen to Riches: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ramen-to-riches-business-game/id6756686753

You start off as a broke college student with 60k in debt and a ton of bills. Forcing you to take on jobs and side hustles to make ends meet.

The core gameplay loop is to try to make the most of the week ahead of you. Each week you have a certain amount of energy. How you use that energy is entirely up to you.

You can get a job, do side hustles. Take on a weekly opportunity of chance. Or upgrade your skills to better your chances of success in the future.

Once you get enough money and dig yourself out of the hole you’re in, you eventually unlock (upgradable) businesses, as well as the stock market. You can even find stock tips every week in the news.

I tried to make the game feel as realistic as possible, with random expenses that pop up just like in real life. Rent and student loan payments are also something you need to look out for.

The game just came out and is totally free(it does have an ad about every 5 weeks). If you have any ideas for what else I can add let me know!

Hi r/iOSApps,

I just released my second app, Lensr, and I wanted to share it with you all.

The Problem: I wanted a quick way to scan products and see how much they cost on Amazon, but I hated that most scanning apps require a login, track your location, or clutter the screen with ads.

The Solution: I built Lensr to be a simple, privacy-first utility. It opens directly to the camera and identifies items instantly using AI.

How is this different from other apps?

  • vs. Amazon App: Lensr is lighter and faster. It opens straight to the scanner, so you don't have to tap through menus or deal with a slow-loading shopping interface just to check a price.
  • vs. Google Lens: This is privacy-focused. I don't store your photos or build a profile on you. It’s strictly a "look and leave" utility tool.
  • vs. Other Scanners: Zero "account walls." Most scanners force you to sign up or subscribe after 3 scans. Lensr is unlimited and requires no login.

Key Features:

  • 📸 Instant AI Recognition: Snap a photo of anything (shoes, gadgets, books) to find it instantly.
  • 🔒 No Accounts: You don't need to sign up or give me your email.
  • 🚀 Fast & Free: It’s completely free to use.

Monetization Disclosure: I want to be 100% transparent—the app is free because I use Amazon Affiliate links. If you buy something you scan, I get a small commission at no cost to you. No subscriptions, no banner ads.

I’d love for you to give it a try and let me know if you run into any bugs or have feature requests!

As an indie app developer, I do graphic design to support creation of assets, marketing materials, etc for my apps. I got tired of having to dive into my code to keep track of colors / color codes, and decided to do something about it. What came out, I hope, is the ultimate color swatch manager. I've been using it daily for the last two weeks.

Introducing Opalite.

Whether you're designing interfaces, creating digital art, or building apps, Opalite gives you professional-grade color tools in a beautifully crafted experience. Built for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro.

Pick Colors Your Way

Opalite offers five intuitive ways to find your perfect color: a grid picker with preset swatches, a spectrum slider for precise hues, RGB/HSL channel sliders for fine-tuning, direct hex/RGB/HSL code entry, and the ability to sample colors from any photo or your camera.

Stay Organized

Create unlimited colors for free and group them into smart palettes with names, notes, and tags. Drag and drop to rearrange, search across your entire color library instantly, and let iCloud sync keep everything in perfect harmony across all your devices.

Design with Confidence

Built-in WCAG contrast checker ensures AA & AAA compliance. Simulate color blindness (Protanopia, Deuteranopia, Tritanopia) to verify your designs work for everyone. Auto-generated color harmonies (complementary, triadic, analogous & more) and AI-powered color name suggestions help you create cohesive, memorable palettes.

Draw & Create

Requires Onyx — Unlock a full PencilKit canvas with Apple Pencil support. Use shape tools for squares, circles, triangles, lines, and arrows. Pan, zoom, and rotate with precision, and save unlimited canvas projects to bring your color palettes to life.

Export Everywhere

Requires Onyx — Take your colors anywhere: Adobe Swatch Exchange (ASE) for Photoshop and Illustrator, Procreate Swatches for iPad artists, GIMP/GPL for open-source tools, CSS custom properties for web developers, SwiftUI code for iOS developers, and PDF portfolios of your entire collection.

Pricing
Free: Unlimited colors, 5 palettes, all picking tools, contrast checker, and more!

I have been dating my girlfriend for a year now and as time went on we sort of lost the initial spark we had when we first started talking, the excitement to know what each other are doing through out the day. We wanted to bring that back in a fun way, so I built an app that did exactly that!!

It worked and my girlfriend and I both love using this app and we are excited to do cool things in the day and share it with eachother through out the day! I decided other people might benefit from this too so I decided to put it out on the app store!

If you have a partner and would love to test out this app let me knoww!!!

What it does:

  • Send hourly photo updates with captions
  • Send goodnight and goodmorning messages
  • Track your connection streak (consecutive days you’ve shared)
  • Share collaborative notes and schedules

The idea:

We often miss small moments in long-distance or busy relationships. LoveHour makes it easy to share moments with your partner without overthinking or long conversations.

How it works:

  1. Create your profile
  2. Match with your partner using a friend code
  3. Start sharing updates and build your streak

Privacy-focused:

  • No ads, no analytics tracking
  • Data is private between you and your partner
  • End-to-end encryption via Firebase

Day 3 is done! Apple Intelligence is now working end-to-end in SUMMTUBE. This was the hardest day yet.

What SUMMTUBE does: AI-powered YouTube video summarizer for iOS. Paste a link → get instant summary + key moments with timestamps. All processing done locally via Apple Intelligence.

The 4 Major Challenges (and solutions):

Challenge 1: Language Support

Problem: Apple's Foundation Models don't support any language (or most non-English languages) in system prompts. My prompts were failing silently.

Solution:

  • Rewrote ALL prompts in English
  • Transcripts remain in original language (English, Spanish, whatever)
  • AI processes multilingual content just fine, it only needs English instructions

Challenge 2: Timestamp Accuracy

Problem: I was calculating timestamps locally based on character position. A 8-minute video would show "39 minutes" for key moments. Completely broken.

Solution: Use the REAL timestamps from YouTube API transcript data. Each segment already has start + duration. Stop reinventing the wheel.

Challenge 3: Context Window Limits

Problem: Apple Intelligence has a 4096 token context limit. Long videos (30+ min) were exceeding this and failing.

Solution: Chunking Strategy

  1. Split transcript into 12,000 character chunks
  2. Merge the chunk summaries
  3. Extract key moments from the merged summary

Result: Now handles videos of ANY length.

Challenge 4: Quote Context

Problem: Key moment quotes were fragmented:

  • "chance. There are three things I do when"
  • "system. But what I found is that"

Missing context made quotes useless.

Solution: extractContextualText() function

For each timestamp:

  1. Find the exact sentence
  2. Include previous sentence (context)
  3. Include next sentence (completion)
  4. Clean up mid-sentence breaks

Now users see full, readable quotes.

Stats for Day 3:

  • 5 major algorithmic challenges solved
  • 3 complete prompt rewrites
  • 2 architecture changes
  • 1 fully working AI summarizer

What's Next:

Day 4: Polish UI, animations, edge cases Day 5: App Store submission

The hard technical work is done. Now it's about making it feel great.

Tech Stack:

  • SwiftUI + SwiftData
  • Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models)
  • Backend: Python

Lessons Learned:

  1. Don't fight the platform - When Apple's API has language limits, work WITH them
  2. Chunking is your friend - Context limits can be overcome with smart strategies
  3. Let AI do what it's good at - Summary-first approach > direct extraction
  4. Context matters - Full sentences > fragments

If you're working with Apple Intelligence or building iOS apps, happy to answer questions!

[iOS 26+ Required!][$30 Lifetime Premium -> FREE] Sleepscape, My Sleep Aid Alarm 🌙

⚠️ NOTE: Please do not reply to this thread requesting the code.

Hello Reddit! I'm a solo developer from Korea.

To be honest, my journey hasn't been easy. I currently work part-time serving at a restaurant in Yeouido (the financial hub of Seoul). Every day, I serve tables for office workers who come in to enjoy their lunch together, laughing and sharing stories about their daily lives at the office. Watching them enjoy those lively moments, I often felt a deep sense of envy. My college friends were also starting their stable lives, while I was just starting from zero.

But instead of following the safe path, I decided to go all-in on my dream. After the last customers leave and I finish closing up the restaurant, I go home to start my real day. I spend my nights in silence, focusing on code until very late. I am a "one-man army"—handling everything from UI design and coding to marketing and even content creation all by myself.

I have so many features and high-quality contents I want to add to Sleepscape, but I’ve hit a wall. While I can push myself to code more, things like professional voice acting, high-quality sleep music, and professional writing for our content require a budget that I simply can't afford right now.

My goal is for Sleepscape to grow enough so that I can work together with specialists in design, engineering, sound, and writing to provide you with the ultimate sleep experience. But until that day comes, I am simply putting in all my effort and doing my best with the limited resources I have.

This is why I'm reaching out to you. I’m offering Lifetime Premium codes ($30 -> FREE) because your support is the only way I can take the next step toward my goal.

If you find the app helpful, please take a moment to leave a review on the App Store. Your honest thoughts and encouragement will be the fuel that keeps me going. I promise to read and reply to every single review. (However, I will respectfully ignore any baseless or malicious comments.)

>☝️ Sleepscape Key Features

>Native Alarm Functionality: Fully optimized for iOS 26. Our alarms ring reliably even in DND (Do Not Disturb) or Focus Modes.

>Custom Sleep Aid Mixes: Design your own perfect soundscape using a variety of high-quality sounds.

>Gentle Fade-In Alarms: Prevents sudden, jarring wake-ups by building sound slowly and naturally.

>Wake-up Missions: (Wake-up Prompt, Math Challenge, Shake to Wake) - Helps you start your day feeling more alert, proud, and fully awake.

>Relaxation Tools: Guided breathing exercises and Delta Wave playback to prepare you for deep sleep.

>Sleep Habit Score: Helps you track and build healthier sleeping routines with simple, intuitive metrics.
